This document outlines the cancellation policies applicable to bookings made through www.lagunea.co (“Lagunea”), acting as an intermediary between customers and independent third-party vendors providing activities, tours, accommodations, transportation, and events (including M.I.C.E.) and other travel services. These policies are designed to clarify when and how you may cancel a booking, as well as any fees or penalties that may apply.
More than 30 days before the Reserved Date: You will be charged a 5% cancellation fee of the total amount.
15–30 days before the Reserved Date: You will be charged a 20% cancellation fee of the total amount.
7–14 days before the Reserved Date: You will be charged a 35% cancellation fee of the total amount.
2–6 days before the Reserved Date: You will be charged a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount.
Less than 48 hours (No-show): You will be charged 100% of the total amount (no refund).
Cancellation before reserving a specific date: A 20% cancellation fee applies if you cancel an open voucher before using it for a particular date.
Late Reservation Requests: For best results, you should reserve an activity at least 10–12 working days before your desired date. If you request to book less than 10 days prior, confirmation is not guaranteed, and normal cancellation fees may apply.
Notification: Cancellation requests must be sent via email to support@lagunea.co, before 15:00 (3 PM) on a working day (Monday–Friday). Requests received after 15:00 may be processed the next working day.
Timeline: Refunds may take up to 21 working days to be processed once they are approved.
No Refunds on Commenced Services: If a service (tour, activity, or package) has already begun, no refunds will be issued for any unused portion.
Lagunea or its vendors may cancel a scheduled service due to unforeseen operational issues, force majeure events, or hazardous weather conditions that present safety risks.
Force Majeure Events: These include but are not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Equivalent Alternative: You may be offered an alternative service or date of equal value.
Full Refund: If you decline the alternative, you will receive a 100% refund of all amounts paid for the canceled service, unless force majeure conditions explicitly preclude refunds.
If you wish to claim a refund, you must notify Lagunea by email at support@lagunea.co within 28 days of the cancellation.
If you fail to show up for a reserved activity or arrive too late to participate, you will be deemed a No-show, and the vendor may charge 100% of the booking price.
Late arrivals may miss key instructions or departures, and partial refunds are generally not provided.
Certain services, such as:
Tickets to shows, concerts, or special events
Entrance to museums, waterparks, or one-time events
Special promotions explicitly marked as non-refundable
are non-refundable under all circumstances once booked.
Bad Weather: In many cases, activities proceed unless conditions pose a safety hazard. If a vendor decides to operate, but you choose not to participate, it will be treated as a last-minute cancellation.
Vendor-Initiated Cancellation: If the vendor or Lagunea decides to cancel due to inclement weather or force majeure, you will receive a full refund.
Liability Limitations: Lagunea is not liable for losses incurred due to weather delays, flight changes, or other issues outside its control. Refer to the Limitations of Liability for more details.
If a member of your party is prevented from traveling or attending, they may transfer their place to someone else, provided you inform Lagunea and the vendor in writing. Additional administrative fees may apply. The transfer must meet any vendor eligibility requirements (e.g., age limits, physical fitness, or ID checks).
If your open voucher expires (after 3 months from purchase), it is normally void. However, Lagunea may allow retrieval of an expired voucher for a fee of 20% of the original amount, subject to availability and vendor approval.
Lagunea reserves the right to update or modify these cancellation policies at any time without prior notice. Such updates will be effective immediately upon posting on www.lagunea.co. Ongoing bookings will adhere to the cancellation policy in place at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.

Contractual Relationship: Any transaction made through Lagunea’s platform is a direct contract between the customer and the third-party vendor. Lagunea acts solely as a facilitator in arranging bookings and processing payments.
No Warranty of Accuracy: While Lagunea strives to provide accurate and updated information regarding vendor services (including descriptions, availability, pricing, and schedules), Lagunea does not guarantee the completeness or reliability of this information. Discrepancies or errors in vendor details shall not be the responsibility of Lagunea.
Service Interruptions: Lagunea makes no guarantees that the platform will be available continuously and without interruption. Lagunea disclaims liability for any losses or inconvenience caused by service outages, technical malfunctions, or downtime.
Force Majeure Events: Lagunea and its vendors are not liable for cancellations, delays, or disruptions resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or government actions.
Personal Injury: By participating in any vendor activity or service, you acknowledge the inherent risks involved. Lagunea shall not be liable for accidents, injuries, illnesses, or deaths occurring before, during, or after any vendor service. Customers are strongly encouraged to obtain adequate travel, health, and accident insurance.
Property Damage or Theft: Lagunea bears no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during any activity or service provided by third-party vendors.
No Consequential Liability: Under no circumstances shall Lagunea be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, goodwill, or data), whether based on contract, tort, or otherwise.
Limit of Financial Liability: If, for any reason, Lagunea is found liable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such liability shall in no case exceed the amount paid by the customer to Lagunea for the specific service in question.
Behavior and Compliance: You are responsible for complying with any rules, guidelines, or requirements set by vendors (e.g., safety instructions, dress codes, waivers). Lagunea assumes no liability for injuries or damages arising from your failure to follow such guidelines.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold Lagunea harmless against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the website, breach of any terms, or misconduct.
Vendor Disputes: Any dispute regarding a vendor’s performance or service quality must be addressed directly between the customer and the vendor. Lagunea may, at its discretion, facilitate communication but is not obligated to settle disputes.
Legal Jurisdiction: Should a dispute involving Lagunea itself arise, it will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, and the courts of Mauritius shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
